Stride technique and rhythm

The catwalk doesn’t begin with the first step — it begins with the breath before it. Omega showed how stride length, pace and rhythm work together to create a walk that conveys both confidence and elegance. Too wide steps appear ponderous, too narrow ones seem nervous. The golden middle is the goal — and it must be worked for.

Turn, pause and exit

Models invested a lot of time in the turn at the end of the runway: the so-called ‘turn’. This moment determines the overall impression of a performance. Too fast, and elegance is lost. Too slow, and the energy breaks. Add to this the posing tips at the end of the runway — that brief moment when the model ‘lands’ and allows the photographer to take the perfect shot.
